He has
completed a training course at the University of Pretoria on the
compounding and dispensing of homeopathic medicine and is registered
with the Department of Health as a dispensing and compounding
practitioner. His registration number with this department is NW00543D.
His
consulting rooms are at 9 Cullinan Street Klerksdorp in the
North West Province of South Africa that has been the location for his
private practice for the last seven years. He previously practiced in
Vryburg in the same province for 27 years. He is a
member of the following associations:

South African Homeopathic Association on which he has served
on the council for many years:

Osteopathic Association of South Africa;
- The
South African Complementary Medical Association;
- The
South African Anthroposophical Medical Association;
- The
South African Naturopathic Association;
- The

Akademie for Functional Medicine, Baden-Baden, Germany.
Dr.
Oberholzer has completed numerous post-graduate courses, seminars and
congresses over the years in order to keep laureate of professional
developments in his field. To

Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology training course on the management
of diabetes;

South African Association for Learning and Educational Difficulties
seminar on ADHD;

Biopuncture Seminar presented by the Biological Medicine Association of
South Africa; Many seminars and conferences on
Anthroposophical Medicine, both nationally and
internationally.
Dr
Oberholzer is a devoted Rotarian. He joined Rotary International at the
age of 29. In 1974 and served as president of the Rotary Club of
Vryburg in 1984. He was honoured by his fellow Rotarians by the
prestigious Paul Harris award for dedicated and devoted work in his
community and advancing the objects of Rotary International. He joined
the Rotary Club of Klerksdorp in 1999 and is especially active in
community and youth projects. He is a
keen gardener and grows most of his domestic vegetables organically. He
loves nature, wild life, hiking, birding and angling.
He is a
philatelist, numismatist and a devoted admirer of the Spanish architect
Antonio Gaudi. He
studied all the great philosophers, has an extensive library and
considers the works of Rudolf Steiner, Wolfgang von Ghoethe, Victor
Hugo, Ayn Rand and General Jan Smuts as his greatest treasures.
He loves
Baroque music, especially the works of the exquisite composer Vivaldi.
Dr
Oberholzer was happily married for 38 years to his wife, Rietjie, she
tragically died in 2007. They have two sons and a daughter.
